1. Problem

Following the success of the EEEEEATSCON gated ticketing experience, Chase Sapphire and The Infatuation needed a centralized reporting system to measure the performance of their multi-city festivals. While ticketing, marketing, and sponsorship data existed across separate tools, there was no unified platform to visualize real-time insights across ticket sales, partner engagement, and restaurant performance.

The challenge was to design a premium, data-rich reporting hub that reflected Chase Sapphire’s trusted brand identity while remaining intuitive, visually clear, and scalable across multiple event cities.

Created to empower marketing, partnership, and operations teams, the platform consolidates live data streams, covering ticketing metrics, sponsorship visibility, and restaurant click-through behavior into one cohesive dashboard. The Reporting Hub not only had to display information but translate data into actionable insight, helping teams make faster, more informed decisions ahead of each festival launch.

The product had to:

1.

Unify website analytics, ticketing sales, and metrics into a single, integrated ecosystem for alignment.

2.

Visualize performance for tickets, sponsors, and restaurants through clear, interactive dashboards.

2. Discovery

During discovery, we conducted stakeholder interviews, analytics reviews, and ecosystem mapping to understand how data was collected, shared, and interpreted across Chase, The Infatuation, and vendor teams. These sessions revealed the need for a centralized reporting system that unified ticketing, sponsorship, and restaurant metrics into one transparent and scalable platform.

Findings showed that users needed intuitive, data-driven dashboards with clear, interactive visuals to make complex performance data easier to interpret and act on. The goal was to design a premium, fintech-inspired experience that balanced clarity, scalability, and trust while aligning with Chase Sapphire’s brand standards.

UX Opportunities Framework

It shows how Chase cardholder value, sponsor engagement, and scalable system design align to create a seamless, data-driven experience that turns complex event metrics into clear, actionable insights.

3. Define & Refine

Insights from these personas shaped the Reporting Hub’s structure and design. Each user’s goals informed the content hierarchy, CTA placement, and visual language, ensuring faster decision-making and consistent clarity across Chase and partner teams.

4. Shipped Design

The design phase focused on translating research insights into a cohesive visual system that balanced clarity, scalability, and brand alignment. Using a modular design approach, we built layouts that adapted across ticketing, restaurant, and sponsorship dashboards while maintaining visual consistency and data hierarchy. Each module was structured to surface key metrics at a glance while preserving room for deeper trend analysis.

Design Strategy Positioning
Maps the Reporting Hub within the FinTech design landscape. Positioned in the top-right quadrant, it balances advanced data visualization with user-centered design, aligning with leaders like Robinhood and Coinbase. It reflects the goal of turning complex analytics into a clear, intuitive experience built for trust and engagement.

Through stakeholder insights and analytics, we identified clear needs and priorities:

Shaping the product vision. Internally, teams needed a unified reporting system to consolidate multi-city data, improve transparency and efficiency, and scale for future events. From the user perspective, the focus was on intuitive, data-driven dashboards with interactive visualizations that made information instantly understandable. The design language adopted a premium, fintech-inspired aesthetic aligned with Chase Sapphire’s brand to convey clarity, trust, and precision.

Mapping how data sources integrated across The Infatuation ecosystem

This phase focused on identifying how data from Chase, The Infatuation, and vendor systems connected to establish a centralized reporting foundation within the Hub. By outlining integration points across the festival website, ticketing platform, CMS, and on-site sales, the team documented how data moved between partners and systems, ensuring alignment for accurate reporting and scalable dashboard design.

Defined three core user groups using stakeholder interviews, marketing analytics, and behavioral data from prior EEEEEATSCON events. Each group represented distinct goals, responsibilities, and data needs, from sponsorship partners seeking ROI clarity to internal teams optimizing event rollout efficiency.

These insights directly shaped the information architecture, dashboard hierarchy, and data visualization priorities ensuring the platform addressed both strategic and operational decision-making needs across cities and user types.

Iterating & Reframing

Iterating & reframing built on insights gathered from stakeholder interviews, analytics, and user personas to translate research into design direction. These findings helped define user goals, business priorities, and problem areas that guided the first round of low-fidelity wireframes. Early prototypes explored layout structure, data hierarchy, and navigation logic to ensure the experience aligned with real user needs and operational workflows.

Feedback from internal teams helped clarify what data mattered most, shaping a foundation for scalable, intuitive reporting dashboards. This phase allowed us to visualize user flows, identify early usability gaps, and ensure that all dashboard elements were logically structured and easy to interpret.

Unified Data Ecosystem

This digital architecture map illustrates how information flows through the Reporting Hub - from the festival website, ticketing, and CMS to on-site sales. It visualizes how Chase, The Infatuation, and vendor data pipelines converge to power interactive dashboards for multi-city events. This unified framework clarified how teams access, interpret, and act on performance insights, creating a scalable reporting system for tracking engagement, sales, and sponsorship ROI across markets and years while ensuring WCAG 2.1 contrast compliance and privacy best practices for cardholder data.

5. Deliver & Test

led QA and usability testing with internal stakeholders and proxy users using interactive desktop and tablet prototypes to ensure clarity and intuitive navigation across dashboards.

Testing focused on verifying how easily non-technical users could interpret data visualizations, navigate between ticketing, sponsor, and restaurant reports, and understand key KPIs at a glance. These sessions also confirmed consistent performance across screen sizes, especially for tablet-based use.

1.

Prototype Testing
Validated dashboard usability through interactive desktop and tablet prototypes with internal teams and proxy users to ensure intuitive navigation and visual clarity.

2.

Data Interpretation
Analyzed feedback and interaction patterns to understand how users interpreted visual hierarchies, CTAs, and KPI data, confirming which structures supported faster comprehension.

Heatmap Validation
As part of the same two-week testing period, heatmaps visualized how stakeholders interacted with each dashboard version. The interaction data revealed where users focused their attention, confirming that KPIs, sponsor metrics, and navigation tabs were prioritized as intended. These findings validated that the final hierarchy and layout supported quick comprehension and efficient decision-making across desktop and tablet dashboards.

6. Measured Impact

The EEEEEATSCON Reporting Hub transformed how Chase Sapphire and The Infatuation teams measure success across multiple cities and campaigns. By consolidating data into one interactive dashboard, the platform enabled real-time visibility, faster decision-making, and a more transparent partnership model.

These outcomes demonstrated measurable business impact across reporting speed, engagement, and operational efficiency:

A/B Testing & Validation

A two-week live A/B test was conducted with internal teams and client stakeholders to measure real-world performance and business impact. Each dashboard variation was evaluated against key metrics to determine which layout best supported faster navigation and stronger engagement. Results confirmed that the chosen design improved clarity, reduced time-to-insight, and better aligned with stakeholder and user goals.

During the two-week testing period, we found that users preferred a more dynamic dashboard one that presented high-level overview data alongside detailed metrics to tell a clearer visual story.
